The goal of this capstone project is to streamline the process of manual data entry in household profiling, generating forms, data visualization through descriptive analytics, and the creation of an official website for the posting of announcements to the residents of Barangay 385 in Manila It will reduce errors, provide precise information and reports, and make data accurate, consistent, and accessible to residents with the use of this web application as well as aid in policy and decision making, and provision of social services.
For the discussion, it must be noted that the system is seeded with 2500 residents and 850 households , simulating the actual production load when it goes live. As per the census provided by the barangay, there are 2300 residents and 800 households.
-
The first module of the system is Authentication. It is where system users’ credentials and level of access or permission is assigned. In this module, the master account can manage the roles and permissions of every authorized system user. With the assigned roles, e.g., “Profiling”, it can limit the accessible module to a specific user.
-
The second module is Household Profiling. This is where the system user can manage household and resident information.
-
The third module is the descriptive analytics. This is where aggregated information from the database is visualized using graphs, charts, bars, pies, and pyramids
-
The Form Generation module eases up the generation of forms and certificates. In this module, the name and address of a resident will be automatically filled and displayed. The day’s current date will also be filled automatically.
It must be noted that residents that are registered in the profiling module are the only entities that will be displayed in the datalist.
-
This is the Announcements module. This allows the e-journalist to publish an announcement that will be displayed in the official website
