Web-based Information Management System for Barangay 385

Abstract

Barangay is the first help of the people. It is where policies and programs are being formulated for the good of its constituents. Resident’s data are therefore crucial for wise decision-making. This study aims to enable the Barangay 385, Zone 39, Manila to improve their planning, management, and provision of social services by developing an information management system that streamlines the process of household profiling, generation of forms and certificates, and propagation of news and updates. The developed system implements descriptive analytics for visualizing and summarizing key information from the system database. Post-revision results of the software evaluation scored a weighted mean of 4.54 out of 5 and is interpreted as Excellent, meeting the user requirements and satisfaction.
